butterfly not girl (Belle) is an indie-folk singer-songwriter based in Boston, MA. They graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Professional Music and a minor in Musical Theater Performance. Belle is a multi-instrumentalist, playing guitar, piano, ukulele, violin, autoharp, and, of course, voice.

Their music can be generally defined as indie-folk, but you'll find a mix of indie-rock, indietronica, americana, and country folk throughout their discography.

Belle’s music is inspired by their upbringing in a small town, personal struggles, mental health, and dealing with life as a queer nonbinary adult.
